Thousands of devotees attend this celebration annually

LOOK: On January 20, 2023, P/CDT PASCUAL together with P/CDT SOSITO and P/CDT ILUSTRISIMO, attended the final briefing and pre-deployment of personnels from Pasig CPS and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) for the “Araw ng Pinagbuhatan” held at Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig.

The “Araw ng Pinagbuhatan”[1] is the annual celebration of the feast of San Sebastian- the revered patron saint of Pinagbuhatan. The festival starts with a mass officiated by their parish priest and when the mass is concluded, the San Sebastian Pagoda will then be toured around the streets of Pinagbuhatan.

To ensure the safety of our devotees and to maintain peace and order in the area, the personnels of Pasig CPS and DMFB are deployed within the streets. Thus, police visibility creates a feeling of security on the part of the law-abiding citizens, a feeling of confidence that the policemen are available to respond when called upon at any situation, and a feeling of fear on the part of the would-be violators.

The cadets were under the direct supervision of PCPT CATALINO GAZMEN JR., Ground Commander/ PASIG CPS Sub-Station 5 Commander, PCPT CHRISTOPHER IAN D BUGTONG, DMFB Supervisor, and with the overall supervision of PCOL CELERINO SACRO JR., Chief of Police-PASIG CPS.
