At about 7:30 am on the 23rd day of January 2023, P/CDT PASCUAL, together with P/CDT SOSITO and P/CDT ILUSTRISIMO, attended the Traditional Monday Flag Raising of Pasig City Police Station spearheaded by PLTCOL JUVENAL BARBOSA, ACOPA, under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO SACRO JR., Chief of Police-Pasig CPS, at Pasig CPS Multi-Purpose Hall, C. Raymundo, Caniogan, Pasig City.

Later that day, the above-mentioned cadets visited the supply/logistics section of Pasig CPS and had a brief discussion with PEMS ROBERTO CASTULO, PNCOIC, and JOHN WILBERT SURIO, RSPNCO. The cadets could explore the duties and responsibilities of a supply officer of the station. They learned how they handle their logistics records and the practices they observe to keep track of all PNP and Government issued equipment. We also learned about the e-management of the section, wherein it is a central database that can deliver pertinent information about all PNP logistics assets in real time is the basic framework of the Logistics Data Information and Management System (LDIMS).

The accountability of the Logistics Section is to ensure the effective and efficient management of the procurement, maintenance, and distribution of equipment, supplies, and other resources. The Logistics Section is responsible for procuring the necessary equipment, supplies, and other resources needed to support the operations of the PNP. This includes the procurement of weapons, vehicles, communications equipment, and other resources.
They are also responsible for maintaining the equipment and supplies in good condition, ensuring that they are ready for use when needed. This includes routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements as necessary. The Logistics Section is responsible for distributing equipment and supplies to the various units within the PNP, ensuring that they have what they need to perform their duties effectively.
They are responsible for maintaining accurate records of all equipment and supplies, including inventory levels, usage rates, and replacement needs. Lastly, the Logistics Section is responsible for managing the budget allocated for procurement, maintenance, and distribution, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively.
What I learned is that accountability requires us PNPA cadets to be transparent in our actions and decision-making. That we must be able to explain and justify our actions, which can help to promote public trust in the police force. Accountability also promotes professionalism among cadets. It requires us to take responsibility for our actions and to be accountable to our superiors, colleagues, and the public we serve. This helps to promote trust, respect, and confidence in the police force. Lastly, Accountability promotes ethical conduct among PNPA cadets. It will require them to act in accordance with the law and with the ethical standards of the police force. This helps to ensure that the police force operates in a manner that is consistent with the values and principles of the society it serves.
